A secondary degree holder needs to have managed projects for at least 7,500 hours in order to be eligible for the PMP. A four-year degree holder can qualify with substantially less experience 4,500 hours in project management and leadership.

Keep in mind that the project management expertise must have been acquired within the previous eight years. Additionally, the PM needs to have knowledge of the entire project lifecycle, from planning to closing.
